We Want Your Help!

We hope you’ve had a chance to cycle around Saskatoon as we celebrate BYXE Week and Bike to Work Day. We’ve had a lot of fun working with the City of Saskatoon to make the week a good time and to remind people of all the reasons to love riding a bike: freedom, exercise, fuel savings, low emissions, pure joy, and so on.

But, we need your help!

Velo Canada Bikes is currently organizing Pedal Poll 2022 which runs from June 7-12. This initiative involves volunteers registering to count cyclists for one, or more, 2 hour shifts at different locations around the city to get a “snapshot” of a typical day of bike traffic. We were part of the national count last year, counting over 1700 Saskatoon cyclists.

Our goal is to have 50 counters this year so we can get a more complete picture of ridership in Saskatoon. Right now we have 11. Did I mention we need your help?

If you have questions, you’ll likely find an answer here: About Pedal Poll 2022 and Frequently Asked Questions

Counting cyclists going by isn’t sexy, but it’s important.

We are counting on you to take a 2 hour shift between June 7th & 12th, 2022?
