Show your support for Saskatoon businesses who are “Friends of Cycling”

Bike Doctor and 9 Mile Legacy Brewing are the first businesses in town to show their support for the work of Saskatoon Cycles by becoming official Friends of Cycling sponsors.

Our new sponsorship program recognizes Saskatoon companies and businesses that share our passion for making cycling safer and more accessible for all. And we, in turn, encourage our members to bring their business to our “friends.”

While the COVID-19 pandemic forced Bike Doctor and 9 Mile Legacy to temporarily shut down their regular storefront operations, both quickly pivoted to new business models to continue delivering their products and services. Cyclists can purchase bikes, clothing, and accessories through the Bike Doctor’s website, then arrange for pickup or delivery. Riders can also make online appointments for tuneups and other service. While craft beer fans can’t visit 9 Mile’s always friendly taproom in person right now, they can surf on by the microbrewer’s virtual taproom to order their favourite ales, stouts, and sours for curbside pickup or delivery.

“Now more than ever, we want to encourage people to support our supporters,” said Cathy Watts, Chair of Saskatoon Cycles. “When you need tasty local craft beer or a new bike, be sure to take your business to the businesses that stand behind the work of our organization. Look for the Friends of Cycling decal in their front window. And tell them you appreciate their support for Saskatoon Cycles.”
