Winter Bike to Work Day 2019:

Winter Bike to Work Day is on January 24. Saskatoon Cycles will be partnering with Drift 7-9 am. This year’s event is sponsored by the City of Saskatoon Active Transportation Department. You can map your route or find more information by visiting https://biketoworksaskatoon.com/
Bike Art Show and Sale:
This wonderful collaboration between SCYAP, Let’s Lead (Westmont school program) and the BCBC was funded by the City of Saskatoon for Winter City initiatives. These art pieces will be for sale and make wonderful garden art or mobiles for your home or workplace. They will be displayed at the SCYAP gallery at 253 3rd Ave. South in their gallery.

Ice Cycle:
This year’s Ice Cycle is being held on Saturday, Jan. 19 starting at 6:45 pm at the Farmer’s Market. We will leave the Farmers Market at 7 pm for a slow roll to the Gordie Howe Bridge and then back to the Farmers Market.
At 7:45 pm we invite you to join us for the opening of the Bike Art Show and Sale. Dessert and Hot Chocolate will be served. All are welcome.
If you plan on participating in the Ice Cycle, please remember to wear lots of lights so we are well seen.
Winter Cycling Congress in Calgary:
Running February 6-8, 2019. Several people from Saskatoon are planning to go. Jerome Nicol (Co-chair Saskatoon Cycles) has been accepted to make a presentation at the conference. To register, please visit https://register.eventmobi.com/wintercyclingcongress/landing
Winter Cycling Conference in Moscow
Lights, camera, action!
Saskatoon Cycles was awarded a very exciting grant from In Motion to make a video about the “Bike Life” We plan to feature several people to talk about what it means to them to use their bike for getting around the city. Please let us know if you would be interested in helping with this project. The more the merrier.

Winter Learn to Cycle opportunity:
On Jan 26, 2019, two Saskatoon Cycles volunteers (Murray Gross and Erin Edwards) will be happy to talk to you about how to winter cycle. This will be done in collaboration with The Bike Doctor. The Bike Doctor has been kind enough to bring some fat tire bikes for you to try. The event is being held behind the Victoria School.
The event runs from noon- 2 pm.
