Slow Roll “Treecycle” for Sunday August 16th at 6:00 pm.
Approximately 9 kmThis is a cycle ride led by Linda Moskalyk and Tom Gode of SOS Trees Coalition. A treecycle is a fun way to enjoy some interesting species and innovative plantings in our urban forest.
- We will meet and ‘leaf’ from the corner of Sask Cres. west and the west end of 8th st. – right next to the Fred Mitchell Memorial Park with the fountain.
- From there we will ‘branch’ out through some tree lined streets and also follow part of the Meewasin trail.
- We will visit the food forest recently planted by U of S students.
- There will be several other tree related stops so don’t be too ‘rooted’ to your bike seats.
Enjoy the ride under the canopy of our urban trees and learn a little about them on the way.
