Tour Around Lake Diefenbaker

Lake Diefenbaker, a reservoir formed in 1967 by the construction of the Gardiner Dam on the South Saskatchewan River, lays in the heart of southern Saskatchewan. Its sheer magnitude is remarkable and humbling. Stretching 225 km from Gardiner Dam to Saskatchewan Landing we can’t ride all the way around the lake in three days so we will take a short cut across the lake on the Riverhurst Ferry. GASP – Great Annual Saskatchewan Pedal

The Great Annual Saskatchewan Pedal (GASP) provides an introduction to cycle touring in a supportive manner. Luggage is transported for cyclists in vans with trailers that make periodic stops and provide refreshments including juice, water, fruit and light snacks. GASP 2017 will be exploring the North Central area of Saskatchewan. Starting and ending in Rosthern and encompassing a 535km loop.

The YXE Cycle Show is an event linked with the Broadway Street Fair. This event allows community members to showcase their bicycles, network with other persons, and win awards! The public will be invited to vote for the best bike of the show. The event will take place on Broadway Avenue and 10th Street beside the Imperial building. There will be a $5 fee registration fee per person, and you can register several bikes if you wish.
