Ride for Refuge
September 29, 2018 @ 8:00 am - 2:00 pm
Ride for Refuge is a family-friendly cycling and walking fundraising event that helps people support charities who provide refuge and hope for some of the most vulnerable people on earth. We believe that riding our bikes [or walking], really can make a difference in the world. Starting at the Lutheran Theological Seminary on the U of S Campus (registration begins at 8am), groups will walk/cycle around the South Sask River along 5km, 10km, 25km, or 50km routes, with the goal of all participants arriving back on campus by 12 noon for a (FREE) celebration lunch and brief closing ceremony. Participants are not required to fundraise, you are welcome to pay the registration fee to come and ride (and get a t-shirt and lunch), but we encourage everyone to join in the community fundraising effort. Saskatoon charities include: Mennonite Church Saskatchewan, Defend Dignity, Christians Against Poverty, Global – Love Albania, Hope Restored Canada, and WUSC/EUMC.
