BYXE Winter 2022
This winter, “Bike to Work Day” will be the physically-distanced “BYXE Week”, where you’re encouraged to get out and explore a snowy Saskatoon by bike, anywhere, anytime, and all week!
Commit to riding your bike any time during BYXE Week, February 14 to 21.
Register for a chance to win prizes!
Register below and you are entered into the prize draws. What are the prizes you ask? Well we have prizes from:
- Doug’s Spoke n Sport
- Drift Cafe
- Bulk Basket
- Bike Doctor
- The Better Good
- Turning the Tide Bookstore
Earn extra prize draw entries by:
- posting a photo of your ride on social media with the hashtag #BYXE.

There is also a Scavenger hunt you and your family/friends/team can enjoy while riding around Saskatoon. You can download the scavenger hunt card and then go out and check off as many items as you can. When you are finished the hunt, post a picture of you, or you and your family/friends/team, with the card, hashtag it #BYXE and we’ll enter you into the draw.
Beside the great winter riding and the #BYXE scavenger hunt, we’ll be featuring an online winter cycling workshop, and some interviews with winter cyclists who share their experiences.
Online Winter Cycling Workshop
We’ll be holding a livestream Online Winter Cycling Workshop on
- Saskatoon Cycles YouTube Channel
- Tuesday, February 15
You will be able to ask questions in the youtube comments that the panelists will answer.
Please subscribe to the Saskatoon Cycles YouTube channel and then hit the bell to be notified when the Workshop is live and any other video content we add in the future.
Saskatoon Transit’s Bike & Bus
If you’re commuting to work by bike, but the distance is too great to cycle the entire way, consider taking Saskatoon Transit’s Bike & Bus part of the way. Plan your trip using the Transit app and Google Transit. All buses are equipped with front bike racks that are free and easy to use. The bike racks also accommodate fat tires. Watch how simple the Bike & Bus system is to use.
Working from home
No problem! You’re still eligible to win. Just get out and ride your bike during #BYXE Week, and follow the guidelines above.
